KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.61 g, 10 h), Pella, struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323/2-315. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his left hand and goad in his right; below the horses, thunderbolt. Le Rider pl. 66, 410 (this coin, D183/R302). Beautifully toned and with a very old pedigree. Good very fine.
